WIP Wednesday

It is RAINING outside right now! This is one of the rare times that I am wishing we had taken the option of having a fireplace in our bedroom when we were choosing options for our new home back in the late 1990's. The one in the family room is going right now and I am actually too cold to leave the comfort of my bed to go in there and enjoy it! I've made some good progress on my husband's sweater:

I finished one sleeve and am on the the second sleeve! Only SIX more sleeves to go! Ha! Kidding!
I also finished the earbud case, so I will have that to show for FO Friday (you notice I didn't have anything for last week?)

My daughter just came in here and asked if she could go for a walk before she emptied the dishwasher. It is POURING rain outside! Wow. Talk about some serious procrastination!

I'm also linking to Yarn Along

I am so glad your husband is not an octopus. And if I ever marry, well you just gave me one more reason for not marrying an octopus.

And I totally love when it is cold but you have snuggly knitting to cozy up in. ♥

The sweater looks lovely...I'm wondering what all the little clips down the side are for... are they so you can see what it will be like when it's all stitched up?

Love the color of the yarn for your sweater!

Sweater is looking good, I've never knitted or crocheted in bed....I think sitting beside the fireplace in your family room knitting would be awesome. Wouldn't want a fireplace in the bedroom though, the smoke...would really bother my allergies at night etc.

Thanks for the compliments! I'm using Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool in Nature's Brown. My husband picked it out (yes, he went to Joann's etc. with me!)

debby: I am knitting the sleeves in the round and am supposed to m1 at the beginning and end after each 9th round. I had to do this 14x's according to the pattern, so I left them in to make counting easier. They can be taken out now, but I'm lazy, so... ;-)

Sandy: Actually, our fireplace is the gas kind with the fake log, so smoke isn't a problem. It was almost a deal breaker when we bought the house; I wanted a REAL wood burning fireplace, but they weren't allowed to build them in new homes in this area at that time-possibly to do with pollution control, and that we live in more of a desert climate.
